The study visit to Lithuania for the delegation from Republic of Azerbaijan was organised

In the frame of the EU Twinning project “Support to further reforms of the civil service system in Azerbaijan” during the 3rd to the 7th of December 2018, a study visit for the representatives from the State Examination Centre of the Republic of Azerbaijan was organized in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The Project is aimed at reaching significant results, such as redevelopment of relevant legislative acts, regrouping of classification of civil service positions, improvement of recruitment and remuneration system in civil service through use of different tools as trainings, study tours, seminars, expert missions, meetings with members of different state institutions, experience exchange and think-tank meetings.

The delegation from Azerbaijan, consisting of a group of 5 civil servants have had the opportunity to become familiar, in situ, with the existing and newly developed civil servant’s selection tools, application of situational judgement tests in practice, procedures of test development, special tools and the systems assisting, which helps to manage competitions in the civil service, Computerized adaptive testing and its problematics and real selection examples of participants.

During the study visit, the participants had meetings with the representatives from the Civil Service Department, Office of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, European Social Fund Agency.

The experience accumulated by the participants of the study visit has led to the development of their knowledge and capacities and will contribute to modernizing the civil service system of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
