
The second meeting of the partners of the PEnCIL (Pan European Social Innovation Lab) project, supported by the European Commission, took place in Vilnius on May 26-27.
During the meeting, representatives of ESF managing authorities from Belgium, Finland and the Czech Republic, together with experts from the European Social Fund Agency, discussed on relevant topics of social innovation. The participants of the event shared insights on the results of the social innovation ecosystem analysis, public policy impact measures to promote social innovation, discussed the possibility of initiating projects‘ scaling in member states and common strategy for establishing national social competence centers in their countries, agreed on unified communication tools.
Among other things, the project partners were pleased to have the opportunity to learn new ideas and share experiences during the social innovation safari – visits to the successfully implemented social innovation projects in Lithuania.
The European Social Fund Agency has been delegated by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania to represent Lithuania in this project and become a National social innovation competence center, which will support innovative projects, provide public authorities with consulting, knowledge and practical experience on ESF + funding opportunities for social innovation, will organize trainings, discussions and networking at both national and European level.
