First Steering Committee of the EU-funded Twinning project ”Capacity Building of Public Service Bureau of Georgia to Implement the Civil Service Reform”

On 18 December the Steering Committee of the EU-funded Twinning project ”Capacity Building of Public Service Bureau of Georgia to Implement the Civil Service Reform” has gathered for the 1-st quarterly meeting. The participants discussed the activities to take place during the initial stage of the project.

The overall objective of the project is to enhance the professionalism of the civil service in Georgia in line with the Principles of Public Administration, aiming to develop professional standards, impartiality and accountability within the civil service and to improve transparency, accessibility and the quality of services to citizens.

Supported by the EU, the project is implemented as part of the EU Twinning programme in an effort to share the EU best practices and experiences and support successful implementation of the public service reform in Georgia. Throughout the project, the experts coming the Office of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, Civil Service Department, Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Lithuania and European Social Fund Agency will transfer to Georgian colleagues the good Lithuanian experience in civil service improvement issues.
